Three Ways On How To Set The Right Resolutions!!

In about a month’s time or so, the year 2018 will surely be half spent. A reader of my previous post felt confident to comment on her expectation that was not met. She expected that I suggest a book that would to guide in setting right resolutions. The post she was referring to is “What are your Big Four…?? based on President Uhuru Kenyatta’s state of the nation address on 2nd May 2018.

Personally, I have been in a very anxious place in my life that has seemed to perfect my impatient tendency. Even as I led a home-based Bible Study session this past Monday, picking out Phil 4:4-9 was in a selfish aim to get help from the larger body of Christ. I was glad to know am not the only one as the devil would want me believe.

So to answer my beloved reader, let me attempt to give successful methods to ensure we fulfill our plans and resolutions from this book that I read. Well this book has been severally referenced by so many great and successful people in this world. So here goes, a few points that I managed to pick out! Just to point out that this is definitely not the exhaustive list.

  1. Trust The Soldier In You….πŸ’ͺ!! How do you view yourself as you pen down your plans? Do you feel honestly feel capable of achieving your new year resolutions? Or are you writing just to conform to the pattern of this world…the trend? Your self image plays a very critical in the quality of plans that you will write down leave alone working towards achieving them. Meaning the desires of an ant can never be compared to those of an elephant. These two differ mainly in their views and perspectives of the world. You are much more than you give your credit to be..πŸ€‘πŸ€”. You need to remind yourself of who you really are. This should not be based on your previous or current circumstances but on the hope of a better future life. This forms a great foundation to success or failure in achieving your goals as it feeds directly into the next stages.
  2. You Need To Up Your Spying Skills..πŸ”πŸ•΅!! Yeah I know, we need James Bond’s contact for some tips..πŸ˜•πŸ˜Š!! There is definitely need to find more insight in a narrowed perspective of the specific interest you would want to pump your efforts/time, finances, relationships/family/networks into. One thing to consider here is the quality and quantity of information sufficient to assist you make vital decisions.
  3. What Do You Have In Your Hands…πŸ€”πŸ€·?? What are you good at? What is your skill/financial capability/time availability/commitment? Am sure we have heard this bit before. However, my focus today is opening our eyes to what we may not think we are capable of achieving. Personally, for a larger part of my life, I thought I loved numbers until I found more satisfaction in writing. You can find out more about yourself by what other people compliment you on that you have ignored all these years. There is also the sure way of prayer πŸ™ The choice is yours! Whose report you will believe?

The above three points are just the first part of ways that can guide you in setting your resolutions. And yes, I know I have not shared the book till now and this might be out of the selfishness creeping into me. So what I would do is promise to give you the title and author of the book in my next post which will focus on the ways to achieve your resolutions.

My reason mainly is to give you time to think through the above points and honestly evaluate where you stand with all your answers to the questions above. Then hopefully we can continue to the next stage of actual implementation. So God willing, see you next week Friday!! God bless πŸ˜‡πŸ™‚ !!
